Today’s top headline – HUCCI has released their first Maitreya fitmesh outfit!! You can see me rockin’ it in the picture above, and it comes in soooo many colour options you should go check it out! While you’re there look at your butt, I don’t know about you but I looooove how these pants wrap around my Maitreya bubble butt!

In other news, it’s time for me to write my next tutorial – what’s it going to be about? So far we’ve had Mesh Bodies 101 (Intro to Mesh Bodies) and Mesh Bodies 102 (Clothing and Saving Outfits for Maitreya)…..

Sweet as Candy

You know, on the face of it, there’s one thing that’s become clear about the mesh body revolution, it’s that in many ways it can appear as though we’re almost going back to the times of system layers and prim pieces for dresses – and I think this holding many SL-ians back from taking the dive into a mesh body.

To that concern I say this – yes, it does look that way, except we’ve exchanged system layers for appliers, and this time, the body itself usually comes with an almost invisible alpha layer around it that allows the item to ‘sit’ on the body, rather than get pasted to it. This prevents the horrid ‘painted on’ look, and gives life to the item. In addition, we now use mesh inserts for dresses, which can offer us an almost seamless look to a dress.

Then of course, we have those designers out there who are breaking into new fields and creating mesh body specific FITTED MESH, which stretches, moves and fits to all sliders that your mesh body is affected by. Designers like HUCCI for Slink Physique, and Blueberry for Belleza, are paving the way in this mesh on mesh revolution.

So my point? Don’t be deterred, look through my blog, look through applier stores and try these items out, you will be surprised just how amazing it all looks on your stunning mesh bod 😉

Looking good in Slink Physique!

So SL has been having fun with me the last week or so – primarily in the form of making my textures not load, or load oddly, or hell, just putting random textures wherever it wants… but I’m pleased to say that it seems to have resolved itself (apparently this was an upgrade for non-US users) so at least I can take a picture!! Below I’m rocking the gorgeous Slink Physique, which has quickly become my ‘standard’ body due to it’s fast loading and lack of ‘floating body part’ issues that I seem to get with other mesh bodies. Don’t get me wrong, for shape (particularly breasts) I love my Belleza, but for general wear, Slink it is! So below I”m wearing one of the Quetta tops from HUCCI and the Latex Leggings from MAAI – two brands you must know if you’re a mesh body user. The leggings come in three shades of transparency, so for modesty below what I’ve done is turned on the pants layer using the semi-transparent legging (Option B) and the Panty later using the solid legging (Option A). That’s given me an almost ‘shorts on pantyhose’ look that I just love – try it out!!
