Improvements are coming… Are you ready?

Hey again MAddicts!

This week marks quite a few firsts for me, and for my blog… so if you don’t mind, I might take a moment to share those with you whilst I lean against a wall and look gorgeous (did anyone else need to rob a bank after this round of Uber? So much amazing fitmesh… between Addams, Blueberry, Just Because, Vinyl, Tres Blah… oh let’s just say between all the designers there – I’m pretty sure they walked away with every linden I have).

Anyway I got a little off topic there. *Shakes fist at talented designers*

Firsts. I’ve had so many important milestones in my time blogging – my first 100 hits, my first comment, the first time someone ‘liked’ a post I made… all the way to now, with nearly 600 followers and getting close to 300,000 hits! I’m so proud of these stats (rightly or wrongly), because they tell me that you like reading my blog, and that is honestly the most amazing feeling in the world MAddicts… so thank you 🙂

But with all good things, they must come to an end…. JUST KIDDING – with all good things, there comes a time when they need to be made even BETTER… and you’ve been asking, so I’ve been listening. This blog is currently in migration from the platform it runs on now (wordpress.com) to its own independent domain! Nothing will change, not even the web address – but what it will mean is that I can start to offer all the things you guys have been wanting – like video tutorials, the ability to give your opinion on bodies/heads and fashion by use of a ‘star’ rating system, and much much more! Mesh Body Addicts is growing up guys *sniff* she’s becoming an adult!! So whilst that happens, if you notice she’s looking a tad odd…. forgive her, it means I stuffed something up and will fix it as soon as I realise 😛 haha.

Now, on to more exciting topics – the FAIR!! It’s been a looooong week for this blogger, with preparations for the Mesh Body Addicts Fair fully underway. Overall, it’s been such a rewarding experience planning and executing this event, but I’ll be glad when the 1st rolls around and I can exhale!!

On that note, I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me through this journey – designers, readers, other bloggers, friends… so many of you offered your time and assistance to help me make this a reality, and I’ll forever be in your debt for your unwavering support of me. A few special shout outs (not that you’re not all special!) to Annie from Just Because, Mishi from Blueberry and last but never least, Ash from AviCandy. The three of you held my hand when I needed it, gave me words of encouragement and helped me when I needed you. You’re all amazing, so thank you so much ❤

Well this blog got more soppy that I intended, that’s for sure, but whilst I get the ‘sneak peeks’ for the Fair post ready, if you have any ideas for what to add/change on the blog, now’s your chance to go nuts guys!! Weekly Fitmesh Finds & Event updates!

It’s that time of week again MAddicts – time for Weekly Fitmesh Finds! Now for those of you who use Facebook, I’ve started a new group that will feature only posts by me, and give you real-time up to date information on high quality fitmesh finds. Now before I sign off and let you look at this week’s fitmesh finds, just a reminder that the Hair Fair closes on July 26th. This event is an amazing fundraising event for Wigs for Kids, so make sure you grab a bandana or some hair from Blueberry (these items have 100% of proceeds donated to Wigs for Kids) or make a donation in one of their donation bins.

Weekly Fitmesh Finds – 15th July

Well LOGO Head lovers, I have some good news for you! The LOGO Alex Mesh Head has now become Omega compatible – and what’s even better, is that Essences and Pink Fuel will be releasing skins for this head! For now though, I thought I’d throw on my favourite Omega head applier skin, Jewel by Lumae, and go for a wander!

The LOGO heads have been widely popular since they became the first mainstream mesh heads on the grid, and have always been popular with photographers particularly because of the number of expressions that come with the head, but the skins have never quite been to my taste, so I’m excited to see an Omega option become available! Before you get too excited though, there are some drawbacks – The Omega layer for the head is only one layer, meaning that you can’t add additional make-up or use the make-up that comes with the ‘standard’ Alex mesh head HUD. You can apply a skin, but whatever make-up is or isn’t on that skin is all you get unfortunately.

That being said, we are looking at the initial ‘incarnation’ of Omega for LOGO heads, so I’m hopeful that in the future there will be additional Omega make-up layers (or applier based make-up layers) in future heads. Also, don’t forget that some creators (such as League for example) already make use of the skin layer to apply make-up to the Lelutka head (effectively, choosing an eye shadow type in their applier replaces the whole top half of your face, skin included, which keeps the make-up layer free for other things). Though I’m not certain if there are any ‘breaks’ in the skin layer for LOGO, there is certainly an option for skin designers to include several make-up styles with their skin appliers, so time will tell!
